SHIMPAC® ROADSHIMS® – build up the top of any given chamber to form a stable, engineered, structure acting as a major high-performance component in seating and levelling street ironwork. ROADSHIMS® have exceptional compression and sheer resistance. These products are used primarily for civil engineering and construction purposes and are designed to replace the weak, traditional, gap filling approach to ironwork seating.
ROADSHIMS® are available in various lengths, widths and thicknesses to match any chosen ironwork. There are two ranges of ROADSHIMS® one for standard access and similar street ironworks and the second longer for larger double or triple communications chambers.
By combining different thicknesses and installed as recommended ROADSHIMS® can be quickly constructed on site to reinforce and protect the chamber and seat any ironwork exactly level with any road surface whether new installation or repair.
ROADSHIMS® are universally compatible with most commercially available street ironwork and can, if required, be designed and manufactured for bespoke applications. They are most effective in areas such as high-speed carriageways, roads, central reservations, verges, pavements, driveways, car parks, docks, airports and even rail environments where safe ironwork installation is critical.
